Our History
SES, Inc. was a startup in November 2005, by a single master electrician. The company has remained a subchapter S, wholly owned private entity without partners, principals or investors.
Licensure has expanded from Maryland to the District of Columbia and the state of Virginia as private customer needs have dictated
Originally a remodel and repair service company, SES began its long-standing relationship with the John C. Grimberg company in 2007, primarily as a consulting and supplemental sub-contractor on Federal Government projects.
While expanding into agricultural service, primarily grain handling and storage, SES also began to aggressively bid Federal Government electrical control projects with the Grimberg Company. These included projects at Indian Head, Maryland, for the US Navy; Projects at Fr. Detrick, MD for the Army through the corp of engineers, projects at the national institute for science and technology; continuing work at the US Naval Academy; and various consulting and subcontracting projects at Quantico, Virginia for the Navy, FBI and DEA
Recently relocated into the current address, SES has begun to bid and execute control contracts for our partners in the Building Automation Industry, most notable: Johnson Controls, Havtech, Siemens and Pritchett Controls.

Since its creation in 2005, Skips Electrical Service Company has offered industrial, commercial, and government owners, along with their general contractors, quality analysis and proven solutions. The company’s success can be attributed to uncompromising attention to detail coupled with reasonable fees and charges.
Our mission is to continue to offer this service through a team of well-trained, well-compensated professionals dedicated to customer needs above all.
Experience
With two master electricians and an active training program, SES has been able to remain small while delivering a wide range of services: Traditional power and lighting, temperature and process control, voice and data cabling, repair, retrofit and maintenance.
Cost / Benefit
While sensitive to the budgetary constraints of all our customers, we are not a budget driven company. Unfortunately, a considerable volume of our sales comes from re-working low-bid installations. Price does not necessarily reflect total cost.
We will not knowingly accept or bid any project with hidden gaps that will increase cost or delay completion unless we are requested to do so with full disclosure and diligence.
Our reputation for integrity is far more valuable than any potential for revenue.
